今回は、米国大使館科学・技術・環境部のトビー・ウルフ氏を招き、米国の代替エネルギーの将来について講演をしていただきます。米国では、エネルギー安全保障、環境、経済などの観点から、新しい形態のエネルギーへの関心が高まっています。ウルフ氏には、代替エネルギー開発を進める米国政府の取り組みについてお話いただきます。また、ブッシュ大統領が提唱している、ガソリンに替わるエタノール燃料の利用推進や、再び米国内で関心が高まっている原子力エネルギーの利用についても触れていただく予定です。（同時通訳つき）。
