
Digital Video Conference Connects Students from U.S. and Japan
Nov. 20, 2008 Fukuoka - Students from various universities in Fukuoka prefecture participated in an International Education Week event at the Fukuoka American Center to discuss youth participation in politics. The event connected students in Fukuoka, Tokyo, Nagoya, and Naha with American students in the United States by Digital Video Conference (DVC). The program also featured Japanese and U.S. panelists who commented on the role of new media in political participation among young voters before opening the trans-Pacific discussion up to the student audiences.
