April 23, 2008 Fukuoka - Republicans Abroad Global Chairman Christopher Fussner and Obama for President Campaign Advisor Robert "Skipp" Orr participated in a lively debate organized by the Fukuoka American Center and hosted by Kyushu University. Nishinippon Managing Editor Megumi Kikuchi served as moderator and Kyushu University Professor Emeritus Hideki Kan provided commentary. Responding to questions from an audience of over 200, the two put forth their best arguments on why their respective party's candidates deserved to win this year's presidential election. Both Mr. Fussner and Dr. Orr commented on how impressed they were by the quality of the students' questions which covered US domestic and foreign policy issues including US policy toward Japan, healthcare in the US, and the global food crisis.
